The
real missing link in rural development is grass roots
leadership that ids capable of grasping and analysing
the unique local situations and responding to such
situations in terms of development of the people.
CReNIEO offers therefore, a Diploma Course, in Rural
Development Management (RDM) designed modularly so
as to facilitate participation in either the entire
course to parts thereof,. The RDM is designed to train
development leaders. 84 of trained personnel deployed
in rural areas of the country and abroad have amply
justified the RDM’s dream and vision.

RURAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT COURSE
The
Diploma Course in Rural Development and Management
(RDM), a residential course with a one year duration
aims at bring in together the thinking , experience
and expertise in the area of development ; examining
critically the different approaches to development
; evolving a new ; innovative , people –based
alternative approach to wards sustainable development.
NATURE
OF THE COURSE
The
course is residential and is intended for potential
leaders in development at the executive level i.e.
for those who are able to conceptualise, plan, initiate
and lead sustainable development programmes.
The
thematic and methodological design of the course has
the objective of providing the participants the benefit
of learning through concepts, empirical experience,
by doing and actual participation in the development
effort. It aims at a comprehensive understanding of
society in its local, national and global dimensions.
PROJECT
WORK OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT COURSE STUDENTS
All
the students of the RDM two year course undertake
an issue based field study as part of their course.
The studies are supervised by the Director and CReNIEO
Faculty. The following are the study reports of the
